Online Stream Quota Reached During Election Forum
September 22, 2015 by CFUZ

CFUZ's online streaming of the Penticton Herald candidate forum for the 2015 Federal Election went off without a hitch on Monday. Over 100 concurrent listeners tuned in during the broadcast - which maxxed out our available bandwidth, proving once again the value that community radio will bring to Penticton.

A full recording of the forum is now available for download or on-demand listening.

The forum took place at the Penticton Lakeside Resort, hosted by James Miller of the Herald. CFUZ's Craig Henderson hosted the online broadcast, as well as represented Peach City Radio on the media panel. Four candidates representing the 4 national parties who currently hold seats in the House of Commons participated - Richard Cannings (NDP), Connie Denesiuk (LIB), Marshall Neufeld (CPC) and Samantha Troy (GRN). A media panel featuring Peach City Radio host Craig Henderson, along with Joe Fries (Penticton Herald), Angela Young (Global TV Okanagan), Richard McGuire (Osoyoos Times/Oliver Chronicle), Jon Szekeres (SunFM) and Chris Walker (CBC Kelowna) posed questions on a broad range of topics.

Our hope is that by making this podcast available, constituents can listen at their leisure, and be informed on the responses given by the candidates. We encourage everyone to exercise their democratic right to vote in the Federal Election on October 19.

Check here for the podcast of the election forum for on-demand listening or download (available Sept 23).
